Congratulations to Steven Logan - May 2012 Graduate of Minor High School.
Steven, born with Spina Bifida, is attending college. Good luck Steven
(Steven was a Special Toys recipient while attending A.G. Gaston Middle School.)
Spina Bifida -Myelomeningocele, The protruded portion of the spinal cord and the nerves that originate at that level of the cord are damaged or not properly developed. As a result, there is usually some degree of paralysis and loss of sensation below the level of the spinal cord defect. Thus, the more cranial the level of the defect, the more severe the associated nerve dysfunction and resultant paralysis may be. People may have ambulatory problems, loss of sensation, deformities of the hips, knees or feet, and loss of muscle tone.
Steven may not have been able to ride a bike or play basket ball or baseball, but with video games, he is king. Good luck Steven!
Hi my name is Dante. I am a special needs child.
I was born missing a part of my 4th chromosome. I can’t speak, or walk, eat on my own, ride a bike or play ball. But I do love to play.
Thanks to everybody for all the things that you do for all of the Special Kids , and thank you Special Toys for Special Kids…..
